Overview

CD19-TriCAR-T is a multi-targeted chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) T-cell or CAR-NK cell immunotherapy designed to treat hematologic malignancies such as leukemia and lymphoma. The therapy aims to address relapse that can occur when patients are treated with single-target anti-CD19 CAR T-cell products by incorporating multiple targeting domains or functionalities. Some versions of this therapy use allogeneic natural killer (NK) cells engineered with a tri-functional anti-CD19 CAR construct and may also express immunostimulatory cytokines like interleukin-15 (IL-15). The mechanism of action involves redirecting immune effector cells—either T cells or NK cells—to recognize and kill malignant B-cells expressing the CD19 antigen through cytotoxicity and immune stimulation. Developers include companies such as Caring Cross, ImmunoAdoptive Cell Therapy (ImmunoACT), and Timmune Biotech[2][3][8]. Primary indications are leukemia and non-Hodgkin's lymphoma.
