CD19 UCAR-T cell injection is an allogeneic, "off-the-shelf" chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) T-cell therapy targeting the CD19 antigen. Developed by The First Affiliated Hospital of Anhui Medical University, it is designed to treat relapsed or refractory CD19-positive B-cell malignancies. Unlike autologous CAR-T therapies, which use a patient's own cells, UCAR-T cells are derived from healthy donors. This approach aims to overcome the limitations of autologous therapy, such as long manufacturing times and poor T-cell quality in heavily pretreated patients. The cells are typically engineered to lack the T-cell receptor (TCR) to prevent graft-versus-host disease (GvHD) and may also be modified to evade host immune rejection.
