Drug intelligence / Profile preview
CD19.SB9.CAR-EBVST is an investigational, preclinical armored allogeneic chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) T-cell therapy built on donor-derived Epstein-Barr virus-specific T cells (EBVSTs). Developed by Tikva Allocell, the therapy is engineered to target CD19, a B-cell antigen, and is armored with SerpinB9 (SB9) to resist granzyme-B-mediated immune rejection and caspase-mediated apoptosis. This design aims to enhance the persistence of the donor T cells and enable a lymphodepletion-free approach for the treatment of autoimmune diseases, specifically systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE).
