CD19hs CAR-T is an investigational autologous chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) T-cell therapy targeting the CD19 antigen, which is primarily expressed on the surface of B cells. The therapy involves collecting a patient’s T cells, genetically engineering them ex vivo to express a high-sensitivity (hs) CD19-specific CAR, expanding the cells, and infusing them back into the patient. The CAR is designed to recognize and bind CD19 on malignant and normal B cells, activating the modified T cells to eliminate these cells through immune-mediated mechanisms. This approach is under investigation for various B cell malignancies, such as B cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia (B-ALL), chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL), and B cell non-Hodgkin lymphoma (B-NHL), and aims to improve targeting specificity or efficacy relative to other CD19 CAR-T therapies[1][3][7].
