Overview

CD19t-haNK is an investigational, allogeneic natural killer (NK) cell therapy engineered to express a chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) targeting the B-lymphocyte antigen CD19 and a high-affinity variant of the Fc gamma receptor III-A (CD16). Derived from the parental NK-92 cell line, these cells are designed to enhance direct cytotoxicity against cancer cells expressing CD19 and to augment antibody-dependent cellular cytotoxicity (ADCC) in combination with monoclonal antibodies. The therapy is being developed as an off-the-shelf product for use in patients with relapsed or refractory B-cell malignancies such as non-Hodgkin's lymphoma. The developer is ImmunityBio (formerly NantKwest), which has advanced this product into Phase 1 clinical trials for various forms of B-cell lymphoma[1][3][4][8].
