Overview

CD19X CAR-T is an investigational chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) T-cell therapy developed by the Institute of Hematology & Blood Diseases Hospital, Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences. This autologous cell therapy involves genetically modifying a patient's own T-cells to express a chimeric antigen receptor that targets the CD19 antigen, a protein widely expressed on the surface of B-cell lineage cells. Once re-infused into the patient—typically following a lymphodepletion regimen of fludarabine and cyclophosphamide—these engineered cells recognize and eliminate CD19-positive malignant B-cells. It is currently being evaluated in exploratory clinical trials for the treatment of adult patients with relapsed or refractory large B-cell lymphoma.
