CD2027 vehicle ointment

This vehicle ointment is the placebo control formulation developed by Galderma R&D for use in clinical trials evaluating CD2027 (calcitriol ointment, 3 mcg/g). It contains the same inactive ingredients and ointment base as the active drug product but lacks the active ingredient, calcitriol (1,25-dihydroxyvitamin D3). It was specifically utilized in a Phase 2 multicenter, randomized, double-blind study to assess the efficacy and safety of topical calcitriol in adult patients with moderate atopic dermatitis, serving as the comparator to isolate the therapeutic effect of the vitamin D receptor agonist.
