Overview

CD207 CAR-T cells is an investigational chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) T-cell therapy being developed by Beijing Friendship Hospital for the treatment of relapsed and refractory Langerhans cell histiocytosis (LCH). The therapy consists of autologous T cells that have been genetically engineered to express a CAR targeting CD207 (also known as langerin). CD207 is a C-type lectin receptor and a defining marker for Langerhans cells, which are the cells that accumulate abnormally in LCH. By targeting this specific surface protein, the CAR-T cells are designed to selectively recognize and eliminate the pathological CD207-positive cells. The treatment is currently being evaluated in a Phase 1 clinical trial to assess its safety and efficacy in patients who have not responded to standard therapies.
