Drug intelligence / Profile preview
CD3-HER2 bispecific antibody is a preclinical-stage therapeutic candidate being developed by Benhealth Biopharmaceutical. It is designed as a T-cell engager that simultaneously targets the CD3 epsilon subunit of the T-cell receptor complex and the Human Epidermal Growth Factor Receptor 2 (HER2) on tumor cells. By bridging these two targets, the antibody facilitates the formation of an immunological synapse between cytotoxic T cells and HER2-expressing cancer cells, leading to T-cell activation and subsequent tumor cell lysis. This approach aims to provide a potent and targeted treatment for HER2-positive malignancies, including breast and gastric cancers, while potentially overcoming resistance to traditional HER2-targeted therapies.
