Overview

CD30-directed chimeric antigen receptor T-cell therapy is an autologous cell therapy developed by YaKe Biotechnology for the treatment of Hodgkin Lymphoma. This immunotherapy involves the extraction of a patient's T cells, which are then genetically modified to express a chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) targeting the CD30 antigen (Tumor necrosis factor receptor superfamily member 8), a protein highly expressed on the surface of Reed-Sternberg cells. The engineered CAR-T cells are expanded ex vivo and re-infused into the patient, where they specifically recognize and eliminate CD30-positive malignant cells. The therapy is currently in Phase 1 clinical development, aiming to provide a targeted treatment option for patients with relapsed or refractory Hodgkin Lymphoma.
