CD30 CAR T-cell therapy is a type of chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) T-cell immunotherapy designed to target the CD30 protein, which is frequently expressed on the surface of certain lymphoma cells. This therapy involves genetically engineering a patient's own T-cells to express a CAR that specifically recognizes and binds to CD30. Upon binding, these modified T-cells are activated to proliferate and destroy the CD30-positive malignant cells. It is being investigated for the treatment of CD30-positive lymphomas, including classical Hodgkin lymphoma, peripheral T-cell lymphoma, and anaplastic large cell lymphoma, particularly in patients with relapsed/refractory disease or those at high risk of relapse after autologous hematopoietic stem cell transplantation.
