CD30 SIR-T is an investigational cell therapy being developed by Angeles Therapeutics for the treatment of CD30-positive malignancies, including Hodgkin lymphoma and certain types of non-Hodgkin lymphoma. The therapy utilizes the company's proprietary Synthetic Immune Receptor (SIR) technology, which engineers T-cells to express a receptor designed to more closely mimic the natural T-cell receptor (TCR) complex compared to traditional Chimeric Antigen Receptors (CARs). This architecture is intended to provide more physiological T-cell activation, potentially leading to improved signaling, enhanced persistence, and a more favorable safety profile. By targeting CD30 (TNFRSF8), a cell surface marker highly expressed in specific hematologic cancers, the SIR-T cells are directed to recognize and eliminate malignant cells. The program is currently in the preclinical stage of development.
