CD33 CAR-CIK is an autologous or donor-derived **CAR-modified cell therapy** composed of cytokine-induced killer cells engineered to express a chimeric antigen receptor directed against **CD33**, a myeloid surface antigen broadly expressed on acute myeloid leukemia blasts. The product has been described as a **non-viral Sleeping Beauty transposon-based** CD33-directed CIK platform designed to combine the innate-like cytotoxicity and ex vivo expandability of CIK cells with antigen-specific targeting of AML cells. It is being investigated as an antileukemic immunotherapy for **relapsed or refractory acute myeloid leukemia**, including post-allogeneic transplant relapse and pediatric or young adult AML settings, with preclinical studies showing activity against chemotherapy-resistant AML and in patient-derived xenograft models.
