**CD33-IL15NP** is an investigational, AML-targeted nanomedicine consisting of PEG-PLGA nanoparticles encapsulating recombinant human interleukin-15 and surface-conjugated with anti-CD33 antibodies. The anti-CD33 component is intended to promote uptake by CD33-positive acute myeloid leukemia cells, where nanoparticle-delivered IL-15 induces innate-immune signaling, including ISG15 upregulation, enhanced immunoproteasome activity, and increased HLA class I expression. In a humanized graft-versus-leukemia mouse model, CD33-IL15NP reduced leukemia burden while causing less graft-versus-host disease than non-targeted IL15NP. The asset was reported as a preclinical approach for relapse of acute myeloid leukemia after allogeneic hematopoietic stem-cell transplantation.
