Drug intelligence / Profile preview
CD36 monoclonal antibody (also known as ONA-036) is a humanized monoclonal antibody targeting CD36 (platelet glycoprotein 4), a fatty acid translocase and scavenger receptor involved in lipid metabolism and cancer metastasis. Developed by Ona Therapeutics, the antibody is designed to block CD36-mediated fatty acid uptake, thereby inhibiting the metabolic reprogramming that supports metastasis-initiating cells and immunosuppressive cells in the tumor microenvironment. ONA-036 is being investigated in preclinical models for the treatment of advanced solid tumors (such as oral, ovarian, and colon cancers) and acute myeloid leukemia (AML).
