Overview

CD37 DOTA CAR-T cell is an experimental chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) T-cell therapy designed to target the CD37 antigen, a tetraspanin protein predominantly expressed on mature B-cells and certain T-cell malignancies. Developed through a research collaboration between Nordic Nanovector and the University of Pennsylvania, this therapy represents a cellular immunotherapy approach for treating hematological cancers. The construct is unique in its inclusion of a DOTA (1,4,7,10-tetraazacyclododecane-1,4,7,10-tetraacetic acid) chelating agent component, which may be related to the developer's expertise in radiopharmaceuticals or intended for specific imaging or binding functionalities. As of early 2023, Nordic Nanovector reported that preliminary investigations into this candidate were inconclusive, and the project was subsequently placed on hold following corporate restructuring.
