CD40 Pan-CoV (also known as EDC.Pan.CoV or CD40.Pan.CoV) is a broad-spectrum recombinant fusion protein vaccine candidate designed to protect against SARS-CoV-2 and related coronaviruses. Developed by the Vaccine Research Institute (VRI) and EnnoDC (formerly LinKinVax), the vaccine consists of a monoclonal antibody targeting the CD40 receptor on dendritic cells, fused to the receptor-binding domain (RBD) of the SARS-CoV-2 Spike protein. By directly targeting and activating dendritic cells through CD40 engagement, the vaccine aims to induce potent and broad-spectrum B and T cell immune responses. It is currently being evaluated in Phase 1/2a clinical trials as a booster injection, administered subcutaneously with or without the adjuvant Hiltonol (poly-ICLC).
