CD45RA-depleted donor T-memory cells is an investigational cell therapy developed by the Federal Research Institute of Pediatric Hematology, Oncology and Immunology (Dmitriy Rogachev National Medical Center) for the prevention of viral infections in pediatric patients following hematopoietic stem cell transplantation (HSCT). The therapy consists of donor-derived peripheral blood mononuclear cells that have been processed to remove CD45RA-positive naive T cells while retaining memory T cells. This selective depletion is designed to provide rapid restoration of protective antiviral immunity, particularly against cytomegalovirus (CMV), while minimizing the risk of graft-versus-host disease (GVHD) typically associated with naive T cells. It is primarily evaluated in children with leukemia undergoing TCRαβ/CD19-depleted haploidentical HSCT.
