CD45RA-depleted HPC is an investigational cell therapy developed by St. Jude Children's Research Hospital for the treatment of relapsed or refractory hematologic malignancies in pediatric and young adult patients. The therapy involves a haploidentical donor graft consisting of CD34+ enriched hematopoietic progenitor cells that have been selectively depleted of CD45RA+ (naïve) T cells using the Miltenyi Biotec CliniMACS platform. By removing naïve T cells while retaining CD45RA- memory T cells, the product aims to provide rapid immune reconstitution and graft-versus-leukemia (GVL) effects while minimizing the risk of graft-versus-host disease (GvHD). It is typically administered following a reduced-intensity conditioning regimen and in combination with donor-derived natural killer (NK) cells.
