CD7 CAR is an autologous chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) T-cell therapy targeting the CD7 surface antigen, developed by iCell Gene Therapeutics. It is primarily indicated for relapsed or refractory T-cell malignancies, including T-cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia (T-ALL), T-cell acute lymphoblastic lymphoma (T-LBL), and T-cell non-Hodgkin lymphoma. The therapy utilizes a unique non-gene editing approach to prevent CAR-T cell fratricide and features a safety switch (RTX) that enables rapid depletion of the CAR-T cells through the administration of rituximab in the event of severe adverse effects. The treatment is administered intravenously and is currently undergoing Phase I clinical evaluation.
