Overview

CD7 CAR T-cells is an investigational autologous chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) T-cell therapy developed by Zhejiang University in collaboration with Yake Biotechnology. The therapy is designed to target CD7, a cell surface glycoprotein expressed on T cells and natural killer (NK) cells. By engineering T cells to recognize and eliminate CD7-positive cells, the treatment aims to deplete the autoreactive T-cell populations responsible for the pathology of various refractory autoimmune diseases. It is currently under investigation in an Early Phase 1 clinical trial for patients with severe, treatment-resistant forms of Crohn's disease, ulcerative colitis, dermatomyositis, adult-onset Still's disease, and rheumatoid arthritis.
