CD7-CART01 is a chimeric antigen receptor T-cell (CAR-T) therapy specifically designed to treat children and young adults with relapsed or refractory CD7+ T-cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia/Lymphoma (T-ALL/LL). This therapy works by modifying the patient's own T-cells to recognize and attack cancer cells that express the CD7 protein. The treatment process involves: 1. Collecting T-cells from the patient's blood 2. Genetically modifying these T-cells in a laboratory to produce chimeric antigen receptors (CARs) that target CD7 3. Growing the modified T-cells in large numbers 4. Infusing the CAR-T cells back into the patient's body where they can find and destroy cancer cells with the CD7 protein
