CD70-modified T-cells (CD70-T) are an experimental cellular vaccine developed by ViGenCell and The Catholic University of Korea. These are autologous or allogeneic T-cells transfected with a retrovirus to express the costimulatory ligand CD70. When pulsed with tumor-specific antigenic peptides, these cells act as potent antigen-presenting cells, mimicking the function of dendritic cells (DCs) to stimulate antigen-specific CD8+ T-cell responses. In preclinical models, CD70-T cells have demonstrated therapeutic efficacy against solid tumors like B16 melanoma, particularly when used in heterologous prime-boost strategies or in combination with PD-L1 blockade.
