Overview

CD70 SIR-T is an investigational cell therapy being developed by Angeles Therapeutics for the treatment of CD70-positive malignancies. It utilizes the company's proprietary Synthetic Immune Receptor T-cell (SIR-T) technology, which involves engineering T-cells to express a synthetic receptor that targets the CD70 antigen. CD70 is a member of the tumor necrosis factor (TNF) superfamily and is highly expressed in several cancers, including renal cell carcinoma and certain types of lymphoma, while having limited expression in healthy tissues. The SIR-T platform is designed to provide more physiological T-cell activation compared to traditional Chimeric Antigen Receptor (CAR) designs, potentially leading to better expansion, persistence, and anti-tumor activity. The program is currently in the preclinical stage of development.
