CD70-targeting CAR-T cells is an autologous chimeric antigen receptor T-cell (CAR-T) therapy developed by the Chinese PLA General Hospital in collaboration with UTC Therapeutics. The therapy involves the collection of a patient's own T cells, which are then genetically engineered to express a CAR specific for the CD70 antigen. CD70 is a member of the tumor necrosis factor (TNF) superfamily that is highly expressed in various hematological malignancies, including certain lymphomas, and is associated with poor prognosis. Upon reinfusion, these engineered T cells recognize and eliminate CD70-positive tumor cells. The therapy is currently being evaluated in a Phase I/II clinical trial (NCT05948033) for the treatment of relapsed or refractory CD70-positive lymphoma.
