Drug intelligence / Profile preview
CD84-CD3 BiTE #03 is a bispecific T-cell engager (BiTE) designed to treat Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML) by simultaneously targeting CD84 on leukemic cells and CD3 on T cells. Developed by Shanghai Symray Biopharma in collaboration with Zhejiang University, this candidate was selected for its high expression yield, purity, and superior T-cell activation and cytotoxicity against AML blasts. CD84 is a member of the SLAM family and is highly expressed on AML blasts and leukemia stem cells, while showing minimal expression on normal hematopoietic stem cells, potentially offering a safety advantage over other AML targets like CD33 or CD123. In preclinical studies, CD84-CD3 BiTE #03 demonstrated significant anti-leukemic activity, reducing tumor burden and prolonging survival in THP-1 xenograft mouse models.
