Overview

CD84-CD3 BiTE #24 is a bispecific T-cell engager (BiTE) designed to target CD84 (also known as SLAMF5) on leukemia cells and the CD3 epsilon subunit on T cells. Developed by researchers at Zhejiang University and Shanghai Symray Biopharma, this antibody redirects T-cell cytotoxicity specifically toward CD84-expressing acute myeloid leukemia (AML) blasts and leukemia stem cells. CD84 is highly expressed in various AML subtypes but shows minimal expression on normal hematopoietic stem cells, potentially offering a wider therapeutic window than CD33- or CD123-targeted therapies. Preclinical studies in patient-derived xenograft (PDX) models have demonstrated that #24 significantly reduces tumor burden and extends survival with a favorable safety profile.
