Overview

**CDFR0209** is an investigational immediate-release oral fixed-dose combination of omeprazole 40 mg and sodium bicarbonate 1,100 mg developed by Ajou University School of Medicine for acid-related disorders, including gastroesophageal reflux disease and stomach ulcer. Omeprazole is a proton pump inhibitor that irreversibly inhibits the gastric hydrogen-potassium ATPase, suppressing gastric acid secretion; sodium bicarbonate rapidly neutralizes gastric acid and protects omeprazole from acid degradation to enable immediate release. In a randomized crossover pharmacodynamic study in healthy male volunteers, repeated CDFR0209 dosing produced steady-state reduction in integrated gastric acidity comparable with delayed-release omeprazole.
