CDR3-targeted autologous CAR-T cells is an autologous chimeric antigen receptor T-cell (CAR-T) therapy developed by Xiamen University. It is designed to target the complementarity-determining region 3 (CDR3) of the T-cell receptor (TCR) beta chain, which is highly variable and unique to clonal malignant T cells. By targeting the patient-specific clonal CDR3 epitope, this therapy aims to selectively eliminate malignant T cells in patients with T-cell leukemia or lymphoma while minimizing 'on-target, off-tumor' toxicity and preserving the healthy T-cell compartment. The therapy is being evaluated in a Phase 1 clinical trial in China for the treatment of relapsed or refractory T-cell leukemia, T-cell lymphoma, and T-lymphoblastic leukemia/lymphoma [ChiCTR1800014870].
