CDR9 is a preclinical-stage therapeutic candidate being developed by CDR-Life for the treatment of solid tumors. It is designed as a T cell engager (TCE) using CDR-Life's proprietary M-gager platform, which utilizes MHC-specific antibodies to target intracellular tumor-associated antigens. Unlike traditional antibodies that target surface proteins, CDR9 targets specific peptides derived from intracellular proteins that are presented on the cell surface by Major Histocompatibility Complex (MHC) molecules. By simultaneously binding to these peptide-MHC complexes on cancer cells and the CD3 receptor on T cells, CDR9 facilitates the formation of an immunological synapse, leading to the selective activation of T cells and the subsequent lysis of the tumor cells.
