Overview

CDX-585 is a bispecific monoclonal antibody designed to target both PD-1 (programmed cell death protein 1) and ILT4 (also known as LILRB2 or leukocyte immunoglobulin-like receptor subfamily B member 2). By simultaneously blocking these two immune checkpoints—PD-1 on T cells and ILT4 on myeloid cells—CDX-585 aims to overcome immunosuppressive signals in the tumor microenvironment. This dual antagonism is intended to enhance anti-tumor immune responses by promoting M1 macrophage polarization, increasing pro-inflammatory cytokine secretion, and stimulating T lymphocyte activity. The drug was developed for the treatment of advanced or metastatic solid tumors that have progressed after standard therapies. Preclinical studies demonstrated that CDX-585 is more potent than the combination of separate PD-1 and ILT4 monoclonal antibodies in several model systems[2][3][4][6][9].
