CEA CAR-T is an autologous chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) T-cell therapy being developed by Guangzhou FineImmune Biotechnology for the treatment of colorectal cancer and other CEA-positive solid tumors. Utilizing the company's proprietary "SUPER CAR-T" platform, the therapy involves the genetic modification of a patient's T cells to express a CAR that specifically recognizes Carcinoembryonic Antigen (CEA), a cell-surface glycoprotein that is overexpressed in approximately 90% of colorectal cancers. Once re-infused into the patient, these engineered T cells are designed to selectively bind to and destroy tumor cells expressing the CEA antigen, potentially overcoming the immunosuppressive environment of solid tumors. The asset is part of a broader pipeline of cell therapies targeting solid tumor antigens.
