Overview

CEA-HER2-CAR-T is a dual-targeted chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) T-cell therapy developed by the Third Hospital Affiliated To Army Medical University (Research Institute of Surgery) for the treatment of advanced gastric adenocarcinoma. This autologous cell therapy is engineered to simultaneously target Carcinoembryonic Antigen (CEA) and Human Epidermal Growth Factor Receptor 2 (HER2), two antigens frequently overexpressed in gastric cancer. By targeting two distinct tumor-associated antigens, the therapy aims to overcome tumor heterogeneity and reduce the risk of antigen escape, potentially improving therapeutic efficacy and durability compared to single-target CAR-T cells. It is currently being evaluated in Phase 1 clinical trials in China for patients with unresectable or metastatic gastric cancer who have failed prior therapies.
