Overview

**CEA-loaded dendritic cell vaccine** is an investigational, autologous dendritic-cell cancer-vaccine intervention evaluated by Radboud University Medical Center in colorectal cancer. Patient-derived mature dendritic cells were loaded with the tumor-associated antigen carcinoembryonic antigen either by pulsing with a CEA peptide or by electroporation with CEA messenger RNA. The antigen-presenting cells are intended to prime and expand CEA-specific T-cell responses against CEA-expressing colorectal-cancer cells. The trial terminology encompasses more than one product preparation, rather than a single chemically defined drug with an INN. ([clinicaltrials.gov](https://clinicaltrials.gov/study/NCT00228189))
