Overview

CEA-targeted CAR-T cells (specifically the investigational product C-13-60) is an autologous chimeric antigen receptor T-cell therapy designed to target carcinoembryonic antigen (CEA), also known as CEACAM5. Developed by Chongqing Precision Biotech in collaboration with Zhejiang University, the therapy involves engineering a patient's own T cells to express a CAR that binds to CEA, a cell surface glycoprotein frequently overexpressed in various solid tumors, including colorectal, lung, and pancreatic cancers. Upon binding to CEA-positive tumor cells, the CAR-T cells undergo activation and expansion, leading to direct tumor cell lysis and the release of pro-inflammatory cytokines. C-13-60 is currently being evaluated in Phase I clinical trials (NCT06043466, NCT06006390) for safety, tolerability, and preliminary efficacy in patients with advanced CEA-positive malignant solid tumors, administered via intravenous, intrapleural, or intraperitoneal routes.
