Overview

CeCART-19 is a chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) T-cell therapy targeting CD19, designed for the treatment of CD19-positive hematologic malignancies. It consists of autologous T cells that have been genetically modified to express a CAR targeting the CD19 antigen on the surface of malignant B cells. The primary mechanism involves redirection of T cell cytotoxicity against CD19-expressing tumor cells. CeCART-19 is primarily used in B-cell cancers such as certain leukemias and lymphomas. The specific molecular structure or co-stimulatory domains of CeCART-19 are not detailed in currently available public sources, but the nomenclature and design are consistent with other clinical CD19 CAR-T cell therapies.
