Drug intelligence / Profile preview
馨可宁 (Cecolin) is a brand of recombinant human papillomavirus (HPV) vaccines developed by Xiamen Wantai (Innovax) in collaboration with Xiamen University. The brand family includes the bivalent HPV vaccine (馨可宁 / Cecolin), which targets high-risk HPV types 16 and 18, and the second-generation 9-valent HPV vaccine (馨可宁9 / Cecolin 9), which targets HPV types 6, 11, 16, 18, 31, 33, 45, 52, and 58. Both vaccines are produced using an Escherichia coli expression system, offering a highly cost-effective alternative to yeast-derived vaccines. The bivalent vaccine was approved in China in 2019 and prequalified by the WHO in 2021. The 9-valent vaccine (Cecolin 9) was approved in China in 2025 for females aged 9 to 45 years and is undergoing Phase III clinical trials in males to prevent HPV infection, genital warts, penile cancer, and anal cancer.
