Cecropin B is a 35-amino acid cationic antimicrobial peptide derived from the giant silk moth, *Hylphora cecropia*. It functions as an antibacterial and anti-cancer agent by disrupting bacterial and cancerous cell membranes. Cecropin B has a helix-hinge-helix structure, which allows it to interact with microbial membranes, leading to cell death.
