Cediranib + olaparib is a combination of two small molecule drugs investigated primarily for the treatment of various cancers, including ovarian, fallopian tube, peritoneal, and metastatic pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma. Cediranib is an oral vascular endothelial growth factor receptor (VEGFR) tyrosine kinase inhibitor that disrupts tumor angiogenesis by inhibiting blood vessel formation. Olaparib is a poly (ADP-ribose) polymerase (PARP) inhibitor that impairs DNA damage repair in cancer cells with homologous recombination repair deficiencies. The combination aims to enhance anti-tumor efficacy by simultaneously targeting tumor vasculature and DNA repair pathways[1][3][5][6]. Clinical studies have shown improved progression-free survival in some settings but limited activity in others.
