Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Cefadroxil is a first-generation cephalosporin antibiotic used to treat bacterial infections such as urinary tract infections, skin and skin structure infections, pharyngitis, and tonsillitis. It works by inhibiting bacterial cell wall synthesis, leading to cell lysis. Cefadroxil is not effective against viral infections like the common cold or flu.
