Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Ceftrigreen-S is an approved injectable fixed-dose combination antibiotic marketed by Green Heart for the treatment of serious bacterial infections caused by susceptible organisms. It contains ceftriaxone, a third-generation cephalosporin beta-lactam antibiotic that binds penicillin-binding proteins and inhibits bacterial cell wall synthesis, together with sulbactam, a beta-lactamase inhibitor that protects ceftriaxone from enzymatic degradation by susceptible bacterial beta-lactamases and broadens activity against beta-lactamase-producing strains. The product is administered by intravenous or intramuscular injection and is used for infections such as respiratory tract infections, urinary tract infections, intra-abdominal infections, skin and soft tissue infections, meningitis, septicemia, and bone infections.
