Overview
Cejinzhan is a botanical drug developed by the Shandong Institute of Biological Medicine, specifically indicated for the treatment of recurrent aphthous ulcers (RAU). It is derived from the plant *Adonis amurensis*, which contains various bioactive compounds including cardiac glycosides and flavonoids. In the treatment of RAU, Cejinzhan is valued for its anti-inflammatory, analgesic, and tissue-regenerative properties. The drug's mechanism involves the modulation of the local and systemic immune response, characterized by the suppression of pro-inflammatory cytokines such as TNF-alpha, IL-2, IL-6, and IL-8, and the balancing of T-lymphocyte subsets.
