Overview
CEL-3000 is a preclinical-stage peptide-based immunotherapy being developed by CEL-SCI for the treatment of rheumatoid arthritis. It utilizes the proprietary Ligand Epitope Antigen Presentation System (L.E.A.P.S.) technology, which involves a T-cell binding peptide ligand covalently linked to a disease-associated peptide antigen. The mechanism of action is designed to modulate the patient's immune response, shifting it from a pro-inflammatory autoimmune state toward a more balanced or normal immune profile by targeting specific T-cell epitopes. This antigen-specific approach aims to treat the underlying cause of rheumatoid arthritis without the broad immunosuppression associated with traditional therapies.
