Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Cele-Pro (also known as GlyphCele) is an oral prodrug of the selective cyclooxygenase-2 (COX-2) inhibitor celecoxib, developed by Seaport Therapeutics in collaboration with the Monash Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences (MIPS). The drug utilizes the proprietary Glyph™ platform, which is designed to facilitate drug absorption through the lymphatic system rather than the hepatic portal vein. By bypassing first-pass metabolism and targeting the gut lymphatics directly, Cele-Pro aims to restore gut lymphatic function. It is currently being investigated for the treatment of metabolic diseases and pancreatic cancer, supported by non-dilutive funding from the Advanced Research Projects Agency for Health (ARPA-H).
