Drug intelligence / Profile preview
This is a combination of six different medications, each with distinct mechanisms of action: - **Celecoxib**: A selective cyclooxygenase-2 (COX-2) inhibitor and nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) used to treat pain and inflammation with reduced risk of gastrointestinal bleeding compared to other NSAIDs. - **Dexamethasone**: A corticosteroid that works on the immune system to help relieve swelling, inflammation, and allergic reactions. - **Dextromethorphan**: A cough suppressant that affects signals in the brain that trigger the cough reflex. - **Gabapentin**: An anticonvulsant and nerve pain medication that works by affecting chemicals and nerves in the body that are involved in seizures and pain. - **Ondansetron**: A serotonin 5-HT3 receptor antagonist used to prevent nausea and vomiting. - **Paracetamol** (Acetaminophen): A non-opioid analgesic and antipyretic that reduces pain and fever by inhibiting prostaglandin production. This multi-drug combination may be used for complex pain management scenarios requiring anti-inflammatory, corticosteroid, neuropathic pain, and anti-emetic effects simultaneously.
