Overview

AD-211-H is a fixed-dose combination (FDC) therapeutic candidate developed by Addpharma for the management of osteoarthritis. It consists of celecoxib, a selective cyclooxygenase-2 (COX-2) inhibitor, and eperisone, a centrally acting muscle relaxant. Celecoxib provides analgesic and anti-inflammatory effects by inhibiting the synthesis of prostaglandins, which are mediators of pain and inflammation. Eperisone acts as an antispasmodic by inhibiting voltage-gated calcium channels and reducing spinal reflex activity, thereby alleviating muscle tension and improving blood flow. The combination is designed to address both the inflammatory pain and the associated muscle stiffness in patients with osteoarthritis of the knee. It is currently being evaluated in Phase 2 clinical trials.
