Celin is an over-the-counter oral vitamin C supplement brand containing ascorbic acid or sodium ascorbate, used for the prevention and treatment of vitamin C deficiency and related conditions such as scurvy, impaired wound healing, and increased requirements during growth, pregnancy, lactation, infection, or recovery from severe illness. Ascorbic acid acts as a water‑soluble antioxidant and electron donor that functions as a cofactor for multiple enzymes involved in collagen synthesis, catecholamine and carnitine biosynthesis, steroid and tyrosine hydroxylation, folate metabolism, and iron absorption, thereby supporting connective tissue integrity, immune function, and redox homeostasis.[2][3][6][7]
