Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Cell2in-OA is a mesenchymal stem cell (MSC)-based therapy being developed by Cell2in for the treatment of osteoarthritis. The therapy utilizes the proprietary FreSHtracer™ technology, a fluorescent probe that enables the selective isolation of high-functioning MSCs from heterogeneous populations based on their intracellular glutathione (GSH) levels. These selected high-GSH MSCs exhibit enhanced antioxidant capacity, anti-inflammatory responses, and improved chondrogenic differentiation. Preclinical data suggests that Cell2in-OA can repair cartilage defects and modulate the joint microenvironment by controlling senescent cells, potentially offering a regenerative approach to degenerative joint disease.
