Overview

CellCutis is a topical cosmetic anti-aging product developed by StemCutis, a dermatology-focused biotech company. The product utilizes a proprietary platform of ischemia-tolerant mesenchymal stem cell (itMSC)-derived growth factors and conditioned media, licensed from Stemedica. Unlike live cell therapies, CellCutis delivers a complex secretome—a mixture of regenerative proteins, cytokines, and growth factors—secreted by stem cells grown under low-oxygen conditions. This ischemia-tolerant technology is designed to enhance the concentration of factors that promote cellular regeneration, collagen production, and tissue repair. Applied topically, CellCutis is intended to improve skin appearance, reduce the visibility of wrinkles, and support overall skin rejuvenation. While marketed as a cosmetic product, the underlying itMSC platform has also been explored for clinical indications such as cutaneous photoaging and hair restoration.
