Overview

Cellex is a nootropic and neuroprotective drug developed and manufactured by the Russian pharmaceutical company PHARM-SYNTHESIS. It consists of a complex of low-molecular-weight polypeptides derived from the brain tissue of pig embryos. Indicated for the treatment of acute cerebrovascular accidents, including both ischemic and hemorrhagic strokes, Cellex is used during the acute and early rehabilitation periods as part of complex therapy. The drug acts as a neurometabolic stimulant, with its mechanism of action centered on the restoration of bioenergetic and metabolic functions in neurons and the normalization of neurotransmitter systems. It is formulated as a solution for subcutaneous injection and is intended to reduce neurological deficits and improve functional recovery in stroke patients.
